Taipei, July 2, 2009 (CENS)--Haier Group, China`s leading brand of home appliances, recently expressed strong interest to work with Taiwan`s leading 3C (computer, communications, consumer electronics) distributors, like Tsann Kuen Enterprise Co., E-Life Mall Corporation and Tatung Co., to tap Taiwan`s home-appliance market.
Haier also calls for the Taiwan government to allow sales of China-made home-appliances in Taiwan. Tsann Kuen echoes Haier`s wish, saying it would focus on sales of Haier`s generic home-appliances in Taiwan, which currently prohibits importing China-made home appliances as refrigerators, air conditioners and washing machines.
A delegation of distributors from China will come to Taiwan, sometime in August or September, to talk with domestic 3C distributors.
To enhance industrial exchange across the Taiwan Strait, a few days ago the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers` Association (TEEMA) invited some China-based electronics firms to Taiwan to meet domestic leading electronics manufacturers, including Tatung, Far Glory Group, Teco Group, Tsann Kuen and Formosa Epitaxy Inc.
Being China`s largest home-appliance manufacturer, Haier has worked closely for years with Taiwan`s TFT-LCD (thin film transistor-liquid crystal display) flat panel and LED (light emitting diode) manufacturers.
