Thailand Lighting Industry Shines for ASEAN

Thai market for light bulbs and fixtures is growing more than 30% with LEDs are expected to take 50% share in the near future. The government sector extensively promotes the use of energy saving lighting products among users of both household and commercial sectors, while private sector from local and overseas eye this potential and are ready to expand their businesses to ASEAN in time for AEC in late 2015.

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), a leader in energy provision has been an important catalyst in Thai society's efforts to solve several energy crises by implementing several campaigns that advocate to green energy orientations, energy conservations, and the use of energy-conserving appliances. This year, PEA has taken part in the development and management of this prestigious tradeshow by becoming the host organizer under “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia 2014”, Mr. Numchai Lowattanatakul, Governor of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) revealed.
