Once again, the paintwork and bodywork sector is set to give an impressive demonstration of its innovativeness at the 2016 edition of Automechanika Frankfurt from September 13 to 17, in Germany, with a large number of insiders to exhibit their newest products and services during the show's five-day run.

In Hall 11, for example, about 35 percent of the exhibitors there will come from Germany and include such well-established companies as Festool GmbH, SATA GmbH & Co. KG, Vosschemie GmbH, WOLF Anlagen-Technik GmbH & Co. KG, MIPA SE, Sehon Innovative Lackieranlagen, Audatex AUTOonline GmbH, Peter Kwasny GmbH and ANEST IWATA Deutschland GmbH. Other important exhibitor nations are Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. Visitors will be able to look forward to numerous innovations, especially in the fields of workshop equipment, repairs, paintwork and corrosion protection.

New: ‘Collision Damage Repair Street' to supplement ‘Collision Talk'

In 2014, ‘Collision Talk' was the best attended event of the lecture programme. As before, it will be held in the Portalhaus building, which adjoins Hall 11 where everything revolves around the world of bodywork and paintwork during Automechanika.

New is the ‘Collision Damage Repair Street' where 14 workshop-equipment suppliers, paint manufacturers and collision-damage service providers show process-optimisation solutions. “We are delighted with the expansion of the successful event concept this year”, says Olaf Mußhoff, Director of Automechanika Frankfurt. “This enables us to strengthen Automechanika as the meeting place for companies and decision makers from the collision-damage market and show solutions for process optimisation in the workshop.”

Greatly anticipated is the 2nd ‘Collision Talk', which will once again focus on issues of topical importance to the collision-damage repair sector. The fresh and very bold format, an idea of trade journalists, Christian Simmert and Wolfgang Auer, attracted great interest on the part of bodywork repair specialists and workshops at the last Automechanika. The topics to be discussed with leading decision makers from the insurance and collision-damage management sectors, as well as the trade associations, include invoice deductions, price dumping through flat-rate offers, automobile service and the increasing competition.

The Talk guests are: Gerhard Witte (ControlExpert), Thomas Melzer (Axalta Coating Systems), Thomas Geck (HUK-COBURG), Steffen Struwe (Innovation Group), Stefan Artz (Service Partnernetzwerk) and ZKF President Peter Börner.
