Taichung's Automation Exhibition to See Encouraging Visitor Turnout

With the two major features of unmanned systems and smart manufacturing, Taichung Industrial Automation Exhibition and Taichung Plastics and Rubber Industry Show 2017, held at Greater Taichung International Expo Center, Taichung, Taiwan July 13th– 17th, is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and business opportunities worthy of NT$ 1 billion (US$ 32.7 million).

At the grand opening ceremony, Alex Ko, chairman of the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) and Shen Jong-Chin, Deputy Minister of Economic affairs both stressed that Taiwan's machinery industry is very likely to see production value break the NT$1 trillion(US$ 32.7 billion)mark for the whole year,

Shen noted, overall output of Taiwan's machinery industry last year totaled NT$990 billion (US$ 21.1 billion). This year, the export revenue for the past 6 months has increased by 14.7% to US$ 11.75 billion. When denominated in NT dollars, exports totaled NT$360, representing an annual growth of 7.5%,

Ko said, ”Taiwan's export is climbing due to the increasing demands for automation equipment and the orders from aerospace and automobile industries in China and Europe.” He added, “It's been 9 years since we set the goal to exceed NT$1 trillion, and we can definitely make it this year.”

The annual Taichung Industrial Automation Exhibition and Taichung Plastics and Rubber Industry Show, with 810 available booths almost fully booked by some 300 exhibitors, is the most professional automation and rubber industry trade show in central Taiwan.

The show hosts many big-name firms in the line, including Victor Taichung Machinery Works, Multiplas, Lien Fa, and FCS Groups exhibiting in the designed exhibition space consisting of Rubber and Plastics Machinery Peripherals Area, Machinery and Equipment Area, Auto-Controlled and Testing Equipment Area, Hardware and Component Area, Machine Tools Area, Hardware and Parts Area, Cutting Tools Area, Warehousing and Transport Facilities Area.
