Kuang Tai Metal Industrial Co., Ltd., founded in 1978, focuses its core technology on welding materials and metal wire drawing. Due to transformation of the traditional industry, the firm's search for a new frontier brought them to the medical industry, where they found the industry had a huge demand of metal products. Thanks to 40 years of accumulated experience in producing and molding metal wire drawing, the firm was able to produce medical-grade metal wires, with material ranging from 304V, 316LVM and common materials like titanium alloy and memory metal. Coupled with the firm's existing welding prowess, Kuang Tai Metal was able to develop and become Taiwan's first firm to produce medical-grade catheter guidewires. Many of the firm's products have passed ISO13485 and GMP certification.

This year's attendance at the show is built on two themes: medical metal rod wire and medical catheter guidewire. KT Guidewire, which has passed Taiwan's FDA inspection and registration, is a highlight at the show, while the metal rod wire comes in different materials, such as the common stainless steel, PTFE coated wire, nickel-titanium wire (memory wire) and T-straightTM true wire. PTFE coated wiring are scratch-resistance and primarily used as PTCA guidewires. Nickel-titanium wires can retain its original shape even after bending it under room temperature. T-straightTM True Wire comes in an almost-straight line even upon unrolling the wires, which helps clients save a production process and makes it easier for machining processes in the future.
