With a fuel-flow control valve and a safety valve built-in, power-steering pump can control the opening of slide valve, regulate fuel flow, and return extra fuel to the pump. If the pipe is choked or damaged due to accident that push system pressure beyond the allowable maximum, the safety valve will be activated to fully open the slide valve, return all the fuel to the pump to protect the system.
