The Chun Yu Group was founded in Kangshan, Kaohsiung county, in 1949 by the three brothers Li Lieh-yun, Li Chun-yu, and Li Chun-tang. The company originally produced sewing needles and meters but soon began manufacturing stamped steel nuts.
