Of the revenues, NT$1.218 trillion (US$40.6 billion) was collected by the central government, down 0.3%; and NT$550.8 billion (US$18.36 billion) by local governments, up 7.7%.
In the same year business tax revenues posted a sizable annual increase of NT$21.2 billion (US$706.67 million) to NT$303 billion (US$10.1 billion), the highest of its kind. Likewise, land value tax revenues, housing tax revenues and license tax revenues all posted record highs during the year and land value increment tax revenues exceeded the goal by NT$20.4 billion (US$680 million) to NT$103.3 billion (US$3.44 billion), a new 15-year high.
However, business income tax revenues dropped an annual drop NT$16.6 billion (US$553.33 million) to be NT$38.1 billion (US$1.27 billion) short the goal due to lukewarm business climate. (JL)
