The Jinn Wang Industrial Co. is a seasoned top-notch supplier of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam wheels that was founded in the southern Taiwan city of Tainan in 2002 by a man with more than three decades of experience and a time-tested reputation.
The company’s chairman, Han Wenyao, began his career in the manufacture of foam wheels some 30 years ago in cooperation with Japanese engineers and clients. He claims that it is a strong commitment to quality improvement that has driven the firm’s long-term dedication to the production of extremely durable, practical foam wheels for wheelbarrows, carts, baby strollers, and other vehicles. In the past, he adds, most Taiwanese companies in the line lacked enough experience and knowledge to produce foam wheels and so continued to turn out conventional solid rubber wheels, which would flatten out and deform more easily than foam wheels after being used for a time, especially if they had to bear heavy loads.
To solve problems commonly encountered with wheels, Han entered into technical exchange with Japanese partners and began studying the properties of plastics. Ultimately, as one of Taiwan’s very few EVA foam-wheel experts at the time, he succeeded in applying EVA foam technology to wheel manufacturing and set up production at his own factory. Since then he has carved out a niche for his EVA foam wheels, added new capacity in China, and reorganized his original company under the name Jinn Wang.
After decades of unstinting dedication, Han and his company have won patents to protect its foam technology in a number of countries, including the United States, Germany, Taiwan, and China, and they now supply foam wheels with standard and customized specifications for a variety of purposes.
No-Flat TPE Wheels
Devoted to constant quality improvement and with a passion for R&D, the company has developed a No-Flat TPE Wheel series which is patent-protected in different countries and made of a special mixture of EVA and foam formulas. This gives the wheels greater structural strength than wheels made of ordinary EVA or PE (polyethylene), as well as excellent elasticity that helps keep them from damaging lawns or scratching floors.
The TPE wheels are also notable for outlasting conventional foam wheels by four to ten times, thanks to the special material developed by the company. With rims made of special PP (polypropylene), the wheels have also been proven resistant to a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius, making them suitable for both industrial and residential use in frigid areas.
Furthermore, the company’s TPE wheels, because of their innovative structure, are also much sought after for being lighter and having higher load capacity than competing models. For example, the JW81601 model can bear a maximum load of 220kg, even though it is only 3.9 inches wide and 16 inches in diameter, and weighs just 2.8 kg. All TPE wheels feature improved tread that provides outstanding traction.
In addition to all of the features mentioned above, the TPE wheels are weatherproof and wear-resistant, and can work for a lifetime without the need to be inflated. They cost about the same as EVA and PE foam wheels, and so are economical as well as functional. They have been well-received in the U.S., Japan, Germany, and Australia, where they are used mainly on heavy-duty wheelbarrows and related vehicles.
Build-to-Order Production
Like most Taiwanese companies that are known for their OEM (original equipment manufacturing) capability, Jinn Wang has also placed a lot of attention on build-to-order production.
To maintain its status as a world-class contract supplier, the company has installed a full line of advanced machinery which is periodically calibrated and upgraded for consistent production. Strict quality-control measures are carried out in the factory. All of these efforts have paid off in exceptional production efficiency and flexibility as well as on-time delivery and competitive prices.
What really sets Jinn Wang apart from its counterparts, however, is its ODM (original design manufacturing) capability. Han stresses that his company, with years of experiences in providing wheels to European customers on a build-to-order basis, has accumulated real-world know-how about problem solving and is fully able to fill contract orders on either an OEM or ODM basis.
