Hongli Aims for No. 1 CV Joint, Drive Shaft Maker in China

Taizhou Hongli Automobile Parts Co. Ltd. is a joint venture established in 1999 between three major auto-parts suppliers, including Yuhuan Tianli Auto Parts Industry Co., Ltd. of China as well as Spring Come Industrial Co., Ltd. and Altezza Co. in Taiwan.

The company specializes in manufacturing constant velocity (CV) joints and drive shafts for popular American, Japanese, Korean, Chinese trucks, buses, and passenger cars.

With the integrated strength of cost control, superior manufacturing capability, management, and international sales channels etc., Hongli is well-suited to become a highly globalized firm supplying high-quality, competitively-priced products.

In 2006, Hongli inaugurated a new, modern, and integrated plant near Shanghai, and currently the new facility operates under the name "ODM Auto Parts Co., Ltd."

The new plant is located in the Pinghu Economic Development Zone and installed with the most advanced and top-end equipment so as to focus more on OEM auto-parts manufacturing. The plant kicked off mass production in June 2006 and now employs around 450 capable workers.

Hongli`s other facility is located in the Auto & Motor Industry Zone in Yuhuan County, Taizhou of Zhejiang Province. The plant now employs about 900 people.

In order to expand sales and keep pace with latest market development, Hongli has invested dozens of million renminbi (RMB, or Chinese yuan) in technical innovation and equipment improvement, such as introducing the most technically advanced assembly lines and inspection solutions, constantly refining its quality-control system, applying CAD and CAM systems in production design etc. These moves, according to the company, can effectively enable the manufacturing standardization, systematization and modernization as well as keep Hongli competitive and flexible enough in the ever-changing market.



After considerable effort, Hongli/ODM has started supplying OE (original equipment) auto parts to various automakers in China and other overseas nations, including GM Wuling, Suzuki Changhe, Kia Motors, etc.
