(PMMC), the largest manufacturer of electric scooters for seniors and the handicapped in the world and a publicly listed company in the Taiwan Stock Exchange (1729), recently announced its successful development on the GREENRUNNER (world register trade mark) electric car, which will be demonstrated at major global auto shows starting from the second half of the year.

Most probably, PMMC said, the GREENRUNNER would be in the European market as well as North America market by the end of the year.

The battery pack on the electric cars is using the world Patent Lithium Iron Phosphate (C-LiFePO4) produced by its subsidiary PHET (Pihsiang Energy Technology Co. Ltd) which under the license from Phostech Canada.

According to the company, the new GREENRUNNER models will use a standard C-LiFePO4 battery pack with a total of 120Ah, while the firm also provides a smaller and bigger capacity battery pack as an option based on the customer demand.

From the standard battery pack, the range can reach up to 100 KM (62 Miles). Optional charger can be fully charged up within 3.5 hours while the standard charger will take not more than 4.5 hours.

Pihsiang will partner with any company interested in purchasing components on the GREENRUNNER EV, including PHET's world-patented C-LiFePO4 LifepowerTM battery, dual-mode charger, controller, AC traction motor, drive train, converter, etc., or under license to manufacture the entire EV.

Pihsiang claimed that its world patented fault-tolerant device which has been equipped on every battery pack on the GREENRUNNER EV and allowing the units to have years of trouble-free operation.
