The BR-500 has been designed with a French partner and is a high-end recreational buggy available in on-road and off-road models, says the maker.

This buggy can be raced and used as a recreational ATV, as well as featuring streamlined frame with neatly-integrated plastic parts. The multi-functional mud-guards effectively stop dirt and mud from being kicked up into the cabin while their catchy style complements the overall styling, with the side-by-side seating enabling couples to enjoy outdoor riding adventure.

The BR-500 was designed with "finite element analysis" to optimize vehicle-frame strength, achieving desired structural strength for off-roading. Taiwan's Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC) tested and passed the vehicular frame over a 5,000 kilometer endurance trial.

Despite its modular design for easy disassembly and portability, the BR-500's structural integrity is uncompromised.

Chassis & Suspension

BR-500 has high-end multi-link, dual-A arm suspension for all-round capability over various terrain. The front sled-style bumper maximizes vehicle protection in rough settings; while specially-designed front-to-rear weight distribution optimizes handling and steering.

The extra wide tires with high sidewalls on upscale aluminum wheels add to aesthetics and off-road capability while car-type steering wheel, accelerator/brake pedals enable car drivers to easily transition to the BR-500.

Powerplant
Equipped with a four-stroke, high-efficiency, 460cc gasoline engine with electronic fuel-injection (EFI), catalytic converter, continuous variable transmission (CVT), balancer and high-capacity radiator, the BR-500 meets the latest emission standards in Europe and the U.S., as well as achieving better fuel efficiency and more horsepower than typical counterparts.

The 2-speed (low and high) transmission also offers P (park), R (reverse) N (neutral), and has a patented lock to prevent from damaging mis-shifts.

Other Features
1. Extra-large fuel tank (19 liters)

2. Locking gas cap

3. Racing seats with 5-point safety belt

4. Easy-to-read liquid crystal display (LCD) gauge

5. Four hi-intensity headlamps

6. Adjustable side and rearview mirrors

Founded in 1964, PGO entered into technical cooperation with the Italian PTW maker Piaggio from 1972 to 1982, and has been a major developer, maker of well-known scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, buggies, engines, tricycles, and go-carts for over 30 years, as well as acquiring in 1996 capital injection from the Taiwan Tea Corp. for financial consolidation.

PGO products are popular among major customers in the U.S., Canada, and many European nations, with the brand being synonyms with made-in-Taiwan quality for years, and due to a reputation for innovation, durability and good service.
