Reception Furniture Conveys Hospitality and Good Taste

Aesthetics are a priority concern in making the reception areas attractive and pleasant

Reception furniture, or the furniture that is placed in waiting rooms or guest areas, is important to first impressions, and image-conscious companies take pains to select furniture that best mirrors their corporate style while expressing welcome and respect. Aesthetic factors, therefore, are a primary concern in the choice of reception furniture.

Comfort is the second concern. Another is ergonomics, which helps clients to relax and is especially important for visitors who may stay a relatively long time for meetings or other purposes. For them, a conference room can be considered a formal reception area centered on a modular table with chairs that usually have an ergonomically comfortable design.

Simple Elegance
The Welltrust Industries Co., one of the largest chair suppliers in Taiwan, provides a good example of how to make good first impression with furniture in its reception areas and conference room, generating an amicable atmosphere both inside and outside the new office building it completed just two years ago.

The new office building, located in the Tainan Technology Industrial Park, provides stylish and spacious space for all business activities with two reception areas, one on the ground floor and the other on the second floor, in addition to a large conference room.

The ground-floor reception area is an open space with several high-legged stools in front of a module table where drinks can be served to waiting visitors. The reception area on the second floor is a semi-closed space portioned off with a transparent openwork blind on one side. This is an area for casual socializing, unlike the formal conference room where a large long conference table sits in the center surrounded by modern white, ergonomic chairs.

Established in 1991, Welltrust grew quickly from a trading firm into a manufacturer that today offers around 200 models of chairs of all kinds, all on display in the company's showroom.

Asked about the factors behind Welltrust's success, managing director Charly Lin gave this simple answer: the “provision of cost-effective solutions for quality chairs.” Welltrust offers stylish modern designs for reception seating that leaves a lasting memory with anyone who visits the company.

To make its chairs internationally competitive, Welltrust frequently introduces new models with patented designs that keep it in the forefront of the market.

To counter the economic downturn in the U.S. and European markets—the two major outlets for Welltrust's products--Lin has mapped out strategies to explore new markets elsewhere. He is patient in the cultivation of new buyers--once winning an order from a new buyer only after 10 years of effort--believing that the longer it takes, the more loyal the new buyer will be.

Free and EasyTo make visitors feel relaxed and at ease, reception areas are often equipped with bright, light-colored furniture. Such furniture is the specialty of the Ten Wells Metal Furniture Co., whose products not only look pleasingly bright but also have a casual design that helps visitors fully relax.

Established in 1980, Ten Wells has developed and become increasingly competitive in terms of design and production. The company says that it continuously pursues creativity inspired by the artistic works of European design masters and by its own persistence in making its furniture different. Quality craftsmanship is another advantage that the company employs to make its furniture appealing to taste-conscious consumers.

The company's reception furniture set consisting of four beige plush chairs and a glass table conveys a style of casual elegance, while the thick velvet chair seat provides extra comfort.

“Ten Wells is a brand of guaranteed quality and superiority,” stressed a company executive. “Our goal is to make even better, even more user-friendly furniture, as well as to make the furniture that enhances the quality of life.”

Cheerful BrightnessA good example of how bright-colored furniture can generate a cheerful ambiance is the scarlet casual chair from the Euro American Industrial Corp. The simple look of the chair belies a deliberate design which thickens the rear portion of the seat and the bottom of the chair back to strengthen the structure and create greater supporting comfort for the sitter.

Built on a sleek chromed steel frame, the scarlet casual chair aims to present a bright and cheerful appearance. That's the central concept behind the design of the chair, which was launched for the upscale market in 2010.

Established in 1975, Euro American specializes in the design and production of metal furniture. In its early years the company focused on DIY models as convenient choices for young consumers, and that is still one of its main fields of business.

“By producing modern, high quality, affordable furniture that can be quickly and easily assembled,” commented an Euro American official, “we are endeavoring to meet the demands of today's discerning customers.”

For many years, Euro American has followed this unwavering corporate philosophy: “To satisfy the needs of our buyers by continually improving our products through the optimization of our manufacturing technology while strictly maintaining international standards of quality.”
