Stars Navigation Technologies Ltd. (StarsNav) designs, develops, and manufactures wireless-telematics global-positioning system (GPS) products, including standard antennas, mouses, active antennas, marine antennas, mobile wireless communication (GSM) receivers, and automatic vehicle-location (AVL) systems, all such devices also incorporating car-alarm systems.

StarsNav management states that the firm concentrates on innovative added-value models, integrating advanced technologies designed for different applications and commercializing the synthesized end products at supremely competitive prices.

StarsNav's engineering team has been involved in developing and testing electronic hardware, software, and communications firmware for over 20 years. The company is also actively engaged in research on radio frequency (RF) and digital-signal integration in its quest to be the most comprehensive service provider in its sector.

The firm recently demonstrated the Rover, an AVL (automatic vehicle location) car-security system with integrated GPS/GSM/GPRS/GIS capability. The company has also successfully developed related hardware solutions for both fleet-management and car-alarm systems, as well as software solutions for large-scale control centers and individual private users. The company claims that only the Rover consistently exceeds required specifications, serving as low-cost units providing highly effective solutions in a range of industry sectors.

StarsNav has also developed the BT-15 Bluetooth GPS receiver, which supports wireless navigation for most major-brand personal digital assistants (PDAs), handheld GPS navigators, and Smart Phone models such as iPAQ, Casio, O2, TOM TOM, and SonyEricson. The BT-15 has a 16-channel GPS plus 45mA ultra-low power consumption, providing at least 18 to 22 hours of operation time with just a single 850mA Li-ion battery (standard package). The new item is FCC/ CE approved and BQB registered.
