Shang Gu enterprise Co., Ltd. Has more than 20 years of history in Taiwan's garden-tool sector. The company has always concentrated on creative research and development to distinguish its models from others in the line.

Thanks to its ceaseless efforts to develop advanced manufacturing skills and innovative products, Shang Gu won the outstanding enterprises award for innovation, R&D from the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2003.

The company stresses ergonomics, labor saving, streamlined appearance on its products. The company boasts over 80% of its product lines are patented in Taiwan.

Shang Gu is an integrated manufacturer of garden tools. Its plants are equipped with die- casting machines, punching machines, grinding machines, shot-blasting machines, polishing machines, molding machines, cutting systems, and packaging machines, enabling it to do about half of its processing in-house. The company's R&D department is equipped with Auto CAD (computer-aided design) software, as well as systems for testing hardness, allowing it to develop all types of garden cutter.

The company currently operates three factories in Taiwan and one factory in mainland China. Shang Gu established its mainland China factory in 2000 to "observe" the garden-tool market there.

At present the company's major product lines include tree pole pruners, grass shears, lopping shears, hedge shears, pruning shears, edge shears, gardening accessories and many other hand tools.

With the strong backup of its in-house R&D department, the company says it will continually develop innovative products to meet the specific needs of its customers from around the world.
