Shinih Enterprise posted 7-month EPS of NT$1.68

Taipei, Aug. 21, 2003 (CENS)--Shinih Enterprise Co., Ltd., a local producer of non-woven fabric listed on the local over-the-counter bourse, scored earnings per share (EPS) of NT$1.68 for the January-July period this year.
Together with its domestic and overseas subsidiaries, Shinih rang up total revenue of NT$160 million last month, jumping by 35.59% from July last year but dropping by 5.88% from the NT$170 million posted in June this year. The company raked in total revenue of NT$1.14 billion in the first seven months of the year, growing by 19% from the same period of 2002.
Of Shinih's total revenue for last month, NT$25.5 million came from its subsidiary in the U.S. (up 46.70% from March 2002), NT$105 million from mainland China (up 56.35%), and NT$24.67 million from its domestic subsidiary (up 14.35%).
Meanwhile, Shinih reaped pretax profit of NT$18.51 million in July, climbing by 80% from a year earlier. The company brought in pretax profit of NT$106 million in the first seven months of the year, translating into EPS of NT$1.68.
Of Shinih's seven-month pretax profit, NT$26.4 million or 24.91% was the return on investment in its American subsidiary, growing by 18% from the same period of 2002; NT$71.58 million (up 39%) or 67.53% from the mainland subsidiary; and NT$14.78 million (up 13%) or 13.94% from the domestic subsidiary.
