Standard Motor Corp. (SMC), a major, veteran motorcycle and all terrain vehicle (ATV) manufacturer in Taiwan, recently announced the 2010 new product line-up.

The 2010 line-up includes four new models: the JUMBO 700 4x4 Utility ATV featuring max power, extraordinary handling, continuous variable transmission or CVT transmission; CGV503 Sports Road Type ATV with smooth ride and great response; CFF50 Family Big Size ATV with bigger size and more room; and the trendy electric Mini e-Power ATV that is eco-friendly and safer.

Besides promoting the new models, SMC, established in 1993, also promotes itself as “Your S.M.A.R.T. ATV Choice”—stating its strong competitiveness with the witty acronym.

The “S” means service, SMC stresses, as well as taking pride in its service—90% of emails are responded within 72 hours, even during holidays. SMC's knowledgeable sales team can assist with product selection and planning. SMC says that they are flexible, able to fill custom orders and mixed-item orders in small quantities.

The “M” refers to manufacturing. SMC runs its own manufacturing facility in the Kuantien Industrial Park in Tainan County, southern Taiwan, integrating R&D, production, packing, quality control (QC) and warehouse. “We insist on manufacturing in Taiwan and so are confident of product quality and quick delivery,” the firm claims.

The “A” stands for assurance: All SMC products are fully, stringently quality checked to achieve world-class product reliability and assurance.

Dedicated R&D

The “R” refers to dedicated R&D capability: SMC invests considerably in R&D and patent work. The company has several in-house R&D teams, works with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan's largest R&D center, to develop new and better technologies.

The “T” stands for satisfactory technical support: “At SMC, we continually refine products to better suit customer needs. We offer extensive technical after-sales support as well as technical training to key customers,” claims SMC.

Stressing its versatility and flexibility, SMC says it will work with small dealers and large companies looking to effectively fill OEM/ODM orders.

Also willing to work with small buyers, SMC requires low minimum order, as well as offering dependable aftermarket parts and industry-recognized service.
