TAITRA to Hold MT Duo 2010 May 8-11 at TWTC Exhibition Hall

Taipei, May 5, 2010 (CENS)--The 2010 Taipei CNC Machine Tool & Manufacturing Technology Show (MT Duo 2010), its ninth, will be held May 8-11 at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall.

The biennial show, co-organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), will occupy 7,650 square meters, over which 270 exhibitors, both local and foreign, in 850 standard booths will be on-hand.

Major products will include CNC machine tools and micro/nanometer-scale ultra-high-precision machines; automation, components, appliances and materials; pneumatic, hydraulic and transmission components/systems; tools, molds & dies, design engineer & quality control; material handling/storage systems; and industrial robots.

The opening ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m. on May 8 and hosted by TAITRA president Y.C. Chao and TAMI chairman Hsu Hsiu-tsang. After the ceremony, Ben Chan, general manager of the Taichung-based Precision Machinery R&D Center (PMC), will host a presentation focusing on micro-machining equipment and related materials to share the center's achievements over the past few years.

Among the notable participants will be Accuway Machinery Co., Anderson Group, Chien Wei Precision Technology Corp., Ching Hung Machinery & Electric Industry Co., C-TEK Technology Co., DMG Machinery Taiwan Ltd., EYAN Machine Tools Co., Hiwin Mikrosystem Corp. Oscar EDM Co., Peiping Precision Enterprise Co., etc.

TAITRA says the last same show in 2008 attracted 12,237 buyers, including 908 from abroad, with the top-10 overseas buyer countries being, in descending order, Japan, China, the U.S., South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
