Safeway Machinery Industry Corporation

Safeway Machinery Industry Corporation, founded by Hong Ching-wen in collaboration with some enthusiastic investors in 1985, focuses on the production of precision vises and relevant parts and components for exports under the “Safeway” own brand.

In the early stage of its inception, Safeway mainly manufactured drill index heads. In 1986, the company began producing lock-down jaw mechanical/hydraulic machine vises, which were immediately popular with customers because of their good quality and stable hydraulic pressure characteristics.

During the 2009 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (2009 TIMTOS), Safeway debuted its MV-series flexible Yes vise that later won the 2010 Taiwan Excellence Award presented by the government-backed Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The product features tailstock design to ensure zero tolerance and facilitate adjustment of indexes.

Based on years of experiences in manufacturing precision vises and clamping devices, Safeway is capable of rolling out a full range of products suitable for different industries, helping the firm to lay solid foundation in the precision vise industry at home and abroad. (BS)
