Tai Shin Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. is one of Taiwan's specialist manufacturers of extrusion lines and pelletizing equipment, having focused on rolling out price-competitive machines rather than constant expansion of output and product lines.

The maker's main line includes extrusion lines for flexible hoses enhanced with spiral yarn inserts, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) palletizing lines, co-extrusion lines for soft/rigid spiral-wound pipes, twin-screw extrusion lines for PVC pipes and profiles, and extrusion lines for spring-wire hoses.

The company's co-extrusion line for pipes is capable for producing soft/rigid spiral-wound pipes two inches in inner diameter. “Each machine can roll out 1.5 meters per minute, three times faster than competing models from other domestic manufacturers,” says Tai Shin general manager Gordon Chang.

To ensure high product quality, the company imports top-grade parts and components from industrially nations, and has an in-house R&D department working on innovative products. Chang claims that the extrusion line for spring-wire hoses is unique in Taiwan, able to produce one-piece spring-wire-reinforced hoses without breakage.

The maker exports 90% of output to Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Chang says his company won't expand output without justification but will continue to focus on quality, for it's meaningless for us to expand capacity due to being small, so will concentrate on quality and innovation to draw customers.
