The Taiwan company is located in the Taichung Industrial Park, which is also home to numerous other internationally leading developers and manufacturers of high-end bike-parts. The park is surrounded by integrated supply chains serving international customers.
The founder of Dia-Compe began making bicycle brake parts in Japan in 1930 and set up Yoshigai Machine & Metal Works Co., Dia-Compe’s flagship firm, in 1949.
Dia-Compe Japan and its Taiwan subsidiary manufacture quality bicycle brake parts and components, as well as bicycle accessories, using self-developed advanced aluminum cold-forging techniques.
To meet strong global demand, the Dia-Compe Group set up its second overseas subsidiary, Kunsahn Dia-Compe, in China’s Jiangsu Province 2001.
Dia-Compe notes that its fundamental theory for product development is "thinking safety and comfort in bicycling life." And, company officials stress, "We, as bicyclists, must provide a better environment and future for our children so that they will be able to keep riding bicycles forever!"
Dia-Compe Taiwan supplies a very wide range of products, including bicycle frames, fenders, gear shifters and levers, brake systems and parts, and other parts and accessories for the international market.
