CENS Attends 11 Global Trade Shows in November

To help advertisers who are manufacturers, exporters and traders to find potential business opportunities globally, CENS attended 11 overseas trade shows in November, including Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), SEMA Show, InterLight Moscow, Moscow International Tool Expo (MITEX), METALEX, Index International Design Exhibition Saudi Arabia (Index KSA), Myanmar Int'l Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (MIMIF), Plastics & Rubber Indonesia (Propak Indonesia), 2013 Guangzhou International auto Parts & Accessories (Auto Guangzhou 2013), The Big 5, and China International Hardware Show (CIHS).

AAPEX
A major global B2B trade fair, the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), held Nov. 5-7 at Sands Expo Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, the U.S., hosted nearly 1,740 exhibitors across about 384,000 square feet, showing  air conditioning, automotive lighting, electrical system & batteries, cooling systems, friction & brake systems, new & remanufactured replacement parts, suspension & front end, engine & transmission parts, appearance chemicals & functional fluids, equipment & tools, computer systems & software, paint, body and retail warehouse fixtures.

The three-day event drew 106,484 visitors and buyers,  mostly professionals, corporate executives and managers, manufacturers, auto parts wholesalers & retailers, auto service chain operators, etc.

The CENS booth displayed buyer guides, with Taiwan Transportation Equipment Guide (TTG) and China Transportation Equipment Guide (CTG) being the most popular.

SEMA
The SEMA show, an exclusive automotive specialty products trade event held Nov. 5-8 alongside AAPEX at Las Vegas Convention Center, had  the organizers report more than 126,000 credentials having been issued prior to the event, up 7% over the previous year, the highest ever recorded in show history.

“A trade show is a reflection of the industry it serves,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA President and CEO. “The unprecedented participation level for the year indicates the industry is moving into growth mode. This was a record-breaking year.”

On the show floor were 2,381 exhibitors, representing all facets of the automotive specialty-equipment market—from accessory and appearance products, performance products, wheels, to tires and suspension—basically anything and everything anyone could want to personalize the more than 200 million cars, trucks, SUV and power-sport vehicles on an off the road. Representing mostly small businesses, the exhibitors turn to the SEMA show to connect with more than 60,000 buyers worldwide.

CENS also had a booth to show buyer guides at SEMA show, with TTG and CTG capturing ample attention among buyers and visitors.

InterLight Moscow
InterLight Moscow 2013, held Nov. 5-8 at Expocenter Moscow, Russia, attracted 786 companies from 28 countries  at the largest trade fair in Russia and CIS dedicated to lighting, electric engineering and building automation.

The event showed considerable growth compared to 2012, with 13% increase in number of exhibitors and total exhibition space, and total number of visitors of 37,338.

In 2013 Interlight Moscow powered by Light+Building introduced a new concept: the event was arranged by product groups for easier sourcing. A highlight of the show was LED technologies, whose market has been rapidly growing in Russia.

“This year the exhibition has been very productive for us, we have growth in all segments. Our booth is much bigger, we had more visitors and negotiations at our booth this year. Every year our regular partners are coming to the exhibition to see our new products. But this year we are facing a boom at our booth,” notes Valeria Kostyuchenko, advertising director of Varton Corp.

“My impressions of the show are very positive, because we see the trend of increase of demand for LED products. The quality of LED products becomes higher and the market is ready to use it. I think that Russian LED market will be developing and growing as it happens in European countries, Japan and other countries,” states Alexander Weber, area sales manager of CIS Vossloh-Schwabe Deutschland GmbH.

MITEX
Moscow International Tool Expo (MITEX) is one of the biggest tools exhibitions in Russia and the meeting point of producers, distributors and consumers of tools, with exhibitors displaying tools, hand tools, abrasives, fittings, diesel and electrical generators, professional cleaning and thermal equipment, snow blowers, etc.

MITEX 2013 took place Nov. 5-8 at Expocenter Moscow, drawing 571 companies from 20 countries including Austria, the U.K., Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, South Korea, Latvia, Lichenstein, Poland, Belarus, Russia, the U.S., Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, the Czech Republic and Japan.

The number of exhibitors rose  16% and the companies from Germany, China, Taiwan and Czech Republic demonstrated their products at joint platforms.

A special focus at MITEX 2013 was woodworking with many companies demonstrating woodworking related products. Besides, a key program was the series of workshops—“Tool as Master's Main Assistant” organized by Wood-master magazine. Visitors saw new products from leading tool manufacturers and learnt more about pros and cons of a particular tool from  professionals. The four-day event attracted over 11,000 visitors.

Metalex
Metalex, a major international machine tools and metalworking technologies trade exhibition in Southeast Asia held Nov. 20-23 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center, Bangkok, Thailand, entered its 27th edition and hosted 2,700 exhibitors of metalworking technologies and machine tools from some 50 countries.

Metalex 2013 mainly displayed  metalworking technologies and machine tools including welding technology, wire technology, tube technology, sheet metalworking, mold & die, pump & valve, material handling, automation, control measurement, testing equipment & tools, EDM machines, etc.

The four-day event registered 70,837 visitors, also big interest and huge investments in the latest machine tools and metalworking technologies both onsite and after the show.

CENS assigned a local representative to promote buyer guides at the show, with Taiwan Machinery and Taiwan Industrial Suppliers proving to be highly popular.

Index KSA
Index KSA is a leading international design exhibition in Saudi Arabia and positions itself as the largest and strongest gathering in the Middle East for the design community.

The show is the international business platform for interior designers, architects and interior fittings buyers to source interior design and fittings products. 2013 Index, held Nov. 12-14 at Jeddah Center for Forums & Events, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, attracted 218 exhibitors from 27 countries and 4,971 visitors.

In addition to presenting  projects and products, the show featured design seminars covering various hot topics of the interiors and design community and discussing the latest trends and innovations in design.

MIMIF
Myanmar Int'l Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (MIMIF) is a leading show in Myanmar dedicated to the plastics and rubber industries.

Myanmar has a potential market as it is a member of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and a population of more than 58 million. After improving diplomatic relations with the U.S., the country is opening wider its market to the world to attract ever more interest from enterprises.

MIMIF 2013, held Nov. 15-18 at Myanmar Convention Center, Yangon, showcased all types of plastics and rubber machines, including plastic bending machines, rubber bending machines, blow molding machine, extruding machines, plastic compounding equipment, plastic cutting machines, die cutting & casting machines, plastic dryers & mold heaters, injection molding equipment, mixing & refining machines, product molding equipment, press & molding equipment, plastics & rubber raw materials & auxiliaries, semi-finished products & technical parts, rubber & synthetic fiber, adhesives, coating compounds, etc.

The CENS booth presented a variety of buyer guides, with Taiwan Machinery and Taiwan Industrial Suppliers gaining considerable popularity during the four-day show.

Propak Indonesia
Plastics & Rubber Indonesia (Propak Indonesia) is one of the most popular events in Indonesia for plastics and rubber industry.

With population of 240 million people, Indonesia is a bigger market for plastics products than Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore combined; and the world's second largest rubber producer after Thailand.

As Indonesia's leading exhibition for the plastics and rubber industry, Propak Indonesia is positioned to take advantage of the country's growing industrial base when the demand for processing and packaging machinery and materials is on the rise.

2013 Propak Indonesia, held Nov. 20-23 at Jakarta International Expo, broke records in terms of exhibitors, international pavilions and trade visitorship. The show grew by 15% in size and 6% in audience to highlight the huge market potential that the country has to offer.

Among the products displayed at the show were adhesive & glue, ancillary equipment, CAD, CAM, CAE software, coating compounds, extruders & extrusion lines, fillers, decorating, printing & marking, foam & intermediates, injection & blow molding, measuring, control & test equipment, mold & dies, paint resins, plastics injection molding, post processing machines, recycling presses, reinforcing fibers & materials, semi-finished products & technical parts, standardization, etc.

Auto Guangzhou
Guangzhou International Auto Parts & Accessories (Auto Guangzhou), a major event in  southern China backed by Guangzhou being one of the largest auto parts and accessories distribution center in China and a hub of carmakers as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Volkswagen as well as auto parts enterprises, was held  Nov. 22-30 at China Import and Export Fair Complex. In its  11th edition and themed “leading to control the future,” Auto Guangzhou 2013 attracted all mainstream global automotive multinationals, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, PSA Group, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Subaru, Hyundai, etc.

Group pavilions were highlights, including the  Belgian Pavilion, Malaysia Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion, the Hong Kong Pavilion, Japanese companies pavilions, and the traditional Guangzhou pavilions.

CENS sent local representatives to promote buyer guides, with Taiwan Transportation Equipment Guide and China Transportation Equipment Guide capturing ample attention among visitors and buyers.

The Big 5
With a history of three decades and the only independently audited construction trade event in the Middle East, The Big 5 is the region's largest and best-attended construction trade exhibition, connecting the Middle East and North Africa's top buyers with suppliers from around the world.

In 2013 The Big 5, held Nov. 25-28 at Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, U.A.E., attracted over 3,000 exhibitors, with more than 70% coming from overseas.

“The Big 5 and simultaneous  events Middle East Concrete and PMV Live provide an important platform for the entire construction industry, from design through to build,” said Andy White, group event director of the show. “The event in 2013 is 10% larger than in 2012, showing testament to the confidence of suppliers from around the world.”

The show presented products  in five zones, which were coating, adhesives & sealants; General construction; HVAC; water technology; steel; windows, doors & cladding; windows, doors & cladding; marble, stone & ceramics; and kitchens & bathrooms.

CIHS
China International hardware Show (CIHS) is the second largest trade fair of its kind in the world after its sister event—International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Germany. It is long regarded by the hardware community as a must-attend show with 90% of China's leading manufacturers in attendance every year. Moreover, European and American exhibitors from the hardware sectors are increasingly using this show as an ideal gateway for international brands looking to gain foothold in China.

In 2013 CIHS, held Nov. 26-28 at Shanghai New International Expo Center, entered its 13th edition and witnessed a sharp rise of 20% in the number of exhibitors and 25% in the number of visitors in comparison to 2012's 2,400 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors. Besides, the exhibition area was expanded to 140,000 square meters from 103,500 square meters.

The products displayed included hand tools, power tools, machine tools, garden tools, air compressors, abrasives, welding, accessories & equipment DIY, building hardware, building materials & components, fasteners, electrical supplies, automotive supplies, paint & chemical products, decorative metalware security, locks & fittings, security equipment & systems, building & furniture fittings, etc.
