Mio Showcases Complete Lineup of Next-generation GPS Products at Computex Taipei 2006

Taipei, June 9, 2006 (CENS)--Taiwan's Mio Technology Ltd., a leading maker of personal navigation devices (PNDs), personal digital assistants (PDAs), and smartphones, is scheduled to showcase its next-generation GPS devices demonstrating the company's advanced product R&D and design capabilities at the Computex Taipei 2006 show running through June 10.

At the annual event, Mio' s lineup of products includes the C710 and C310 PNDs, as well as the entry-level C210 with its svelte design. As for GPS PDA phones, Mio is highlighting its hot-selling Mio DigiWalker A700 and A710, which has been introduced in Europe. GPS PDAs on show at the Mio booth include the P550 and P350, as well as a model soon to be launched in South Korea that combines satellite navigation and digital media broadcasting (DMB) features.

Mio marketing director Rick Liao indicated that the company' s new-generation in-car GPS products not only mark dramatic advances in industrial design, system stability, and navigation-assistance features, but they also provide the latest multimedia technologies, such as built-in AV entertainment and support for digital-TV systems. With these new products, in-car devices with GPS are no longer restricted to navigation services, but have also begun to offer entertainment functions.

Rick Liao further reported that the company aims to use its participation in Computex Taipei 2006 to develop international business opportunities, while the show itself offers a world-class showcase for the fruits of Mio' s R&D efforts.
