Production Lines Fully-loaded at Taiwan's Eminent Luggage

2014/12/03 | By Steve Chuang

With global luggage brands  restocking amid positive market outlook throughout next year, Taiwan-based Eminent Luggage Corp., a major contract manufacturer and branded vendor of luggage and travel bags, has  production lines fully-loaded,  hence expecting banner performance in Q4, 2014 through early next year.

Eminent Luggage's directors say the world's major luggage brands have heavily placed orders since Q3, mainly because of U.S.'s stable economic recovery and various economic stimulus packages in Europe, Japan and China, which create widespread optimism among luggage brands  towards bright market prospects next year.

So Eminent's production lines at its suitcase factory in Taiwan and China are fully booked throughout next February, with capacity of soft suitcases also fully ordered throughout the end of the month.

Amid current market booms, Eminent has been actively  developing new hard-sided suitcases and structural designs, samples of which will be released  starting December to attract more customers and keep overall capacity utilization rate high in the coming year.

Eminent Luggage scored cumulative revenue of NT$934 million (US$31.13 million) and net profits of NT$26 million (US$866,667 million) for Q3, with EPS (earnings per share) of NT$0.59, sharply up 671.48% year-on-year. Despite its October revenue diving 6.95% year-on-year, its cumulative revenue for the first 10 months of this year still rose 4.68% to NT$2.949 billion (US$98.3 million). (SC)
