Taiwan-Russia Cooperation in Semiconductor Industry to See Positive Outcomes

The 2017 Russia-Taiwan Semiconductor Smart Manufacturing and Equipment Technology and Business Matchmaking Event, held at Zelenogard, Moscow, Russia, took place in late June, gaining fruitful results as a platform for Russia-Taiwan business cooperation and bilateral markets development.

Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony for PIC of Russian Academy of Science, MIRDC, Optosystems, and FairTech were held successfully to hold on to the blue ocean market Taiwan and Russia have jointly created.

Since 2014, many well-known Russian research institutes, such as SEMI Russia, TECHNOSPARK Nanotechnology Center, Moscow Zelenogard and other Russian R&D sectors have revealed the intention for cooperation.

Therefore, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, being exploring Russian market for years, is undertaking the“Optoelectronic and Semiconductor Equipment Industry Development Project” to assist semiconductor equipment manufacturers connecting to the abundant research resources of Russia.

In recent years, Russia and Taiwan have been taking turns hosting the Russia-Taiwan Technology and Business Matchmaking Event. This year, 37 participants from 28 international institutes and veteran Taiwanese manufacturers including Taiwan Semiconductors, United Microelectronics Corporation, and other professionalized companies attended the event in Moscow.
