CHINAPLAS 2022 to kick off on April 25

2022/01/05 | By CENS

CHINAPLAS 2022, the world's biggest platform showcasing advanced rubber and plastic technology, is returning to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on April 25 for three days, using up 360,000 square meters of exhibition ground space. The show is slated to exhibit over 4,000 domestic and international quality exhibitors and prepare the rubber and plastic industry to engage with future challenges through innovative technologies.

With environmental-conscious methods becoming mainstream across varied industries, such as green, low-carbon technologies becoming ever crucial, companies are looking to the upstream, the origin of a product's production cycle, to optimize the process. For example, companies are looking to improve four areas: low-energy intensive, high production efficiency, downstream management, and recycling waste. Existing technologies like biodegradable plastic, reusable plastics, and environmentally-friendly additives, have been revisited and improved upon in light of the new trends. Other aspects in the industry, including new energy, solar power, wind power, and methods to save renewable energies, have propelled synergy into rolling out new technologies and products.

CHINAPLAS 2022 will offer a wide selection and diverse solutions to help companies enact low-carbon technologies and partake in the green supply chain. All exhibitors offering environmentally sustainable products can be found in Hall 5.2.

The pandemic has also accelerated trends such as digital transformation, a highlight at CHINAPLAS 2022 as well. To service global buyers unable to travel, event organizers have rolled out the CPS+ platform for online matchmaking purposes, which has integrated a smart search function and an announcement board for buyers to post their demands, in hopes of facilitating efficient matchmaking across the upstream to downstream suppliers.
