Taipei, June 4, 2004 (CENS)--The 8th Asian Electronics Exhibitors Cooperation Conference (AEECC) was held yesterday in Taipei under the auspices of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA).
According to TAITRA, the AEECC was inaugurated in 1997 to enhance mutual cooperation and expedite information exchanges among Asian electronics exhibition organizers. The member organizations include Electronic Industries Association of Korean (EIAK of South Korea), Japan Electronics Show Association (JESA of Japan), TEEMA and TAITRA (Taiwan), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and China Electronic Appliance Corporation (CEAC of mainland China).
AEECC also furthers practical cooperation and coordination among major Asian exhibition organizers by coordinating exhibition schedules, conducting joint publicity and adopting other means to obtain synergy effects among the key Asian electronics exhibitions.
Many dignitaries participated in the 2004 AEECC in Taipei, including EIAK Chairman Young Hoon Choi and Project Manager June-Ii Ahn, JESA Secretary General Jiro Iriye and consultant Dan O'Brien, HKTDC Assistant Director Benjamin Chau and Market Manager Larry Chu.
TAITRA said that the 2004 Taipei International Electronics Show (Taitronics 2004) will be held on October 8-12, maintaining its No. 1 position in Asia with 760 finished product exhibitors and 760 component exhibitors, respectively. Show organizers TAITRA and TEEMA plan to combine the two shows (finished products and components) into one in 2005 and move the annual event to the new Nankang International Exhibition Hall in 2006 as the first fair at the new venue.
