Frank Phoenix International Corp. started in 1990 as a manufacturer and exporter of conventional machine tools such as mold- making lathes, grinders, and milling machines and their related accessories. Shooting for higher achievements, the company teamed up with other similar companies in 1995 to expand its business range to the manufacture and sale of more sophisticated CNC (computer numerically controlled) milling machines and CNC lathes fitted with local/imported IPC- based CNC controllers and related accessories. Its models have been well received by companies that need efficient equipment for mold making, versatile machining, and research & development projects.

Embracing the principle that "insistence on product quality is the guarantee of a company's reputation," Frank Phoenix International began cooperating with the Mechanical Industry Research Laboratories (MIRL) under Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the largest national research organization on the island, in 1997 to jointly develop and manufacture a series of upgraded IPC-based CNC controllers. These models have also been well received around the world, and provide customers one more cost-effective choice in the market.

In 1999, chief executive Frank Lin says, the company continued its expansion with the registration of an affiliated enterprise, TOPFIT Machinery Co., which produces a CNC milling-machine series, CNC lathe series, and machining-center series.

In the same year, Frank Phoenix International debuted an upgraded series of CNC milling machines, the FM-205/255/300 CNC/MH/ATC series, featuring more precision specifications, a wider application range, and greater durability.

During the millenium year of 2000, the company developed direct coupling transmission milling machine to upgrade the CNC milling machines to the equal feeding speed and performance of the regular machining centers on the highly competitive market.

With further refining work and improvement, Lin said, the company formally presented to customers with the advanced direct coupling transmission milling machines equipped with high-speed, high-precision CNC controller IM20H to offer customers another choice for economical machining centers with superb speed and precision functions.

Lin says the rapid expansion of the company and the broadening of its product lines reflects the corporate motto, "Benefits are for sharing and trust is based on mutual effort." Believing that "insistence on efficient service is the guarantee of customer satisfaction," the company continues to develop new products and lines!Xmost recently bed-type CNC milling machines outfitted with Microsoft Windows NT4.0/2000-based high-speed, high- precision CNC controllers. Another new line of offerings, its gantry-type mini CNC milling machines, are according to the company among the most economical, high-performance, space-saving units available for metal/non- metal milling and engraving work.
