Abundant opportunities await Taiwanese businesses abroad
Sharing his optimism that Taiwan’s businesses will gain greater prominence in external markets, in Europe especially, Mr John Herbert, General
Secretary, Europe DIY-Retail Association (EDRA), Germany shared that, “I am very impressed particularly by the quality that we nd in the exhibition.
Today in Europe and other parts of the world, people are moving towards better quality products. Since Taiwan’s image regarding product quality
has improved considerably, this means getting that message over there represents huge opportunities for Taiwan suppliers in the European
market.”
Mr Herbert’s encouraging words were echoed by fellow speakers in other concurrent seminars helmed by the Industrial Technology Research
Institute (ITRI), the Metal Industries Research and Development Centre as well as Mr Philippe Mechin, an industry specialist from BM2C Media whose
presentation on ‘The Economic Situation, Trends and Customer Behaviour in the French Hardware Market’ highlighted the high demand of Taiwan’s
manufactured products amongst French and European users.
