The 15th Taiwan Hardware Show delivered outstanding performance to highly satised visitors and exhibitors Taiwan’s excellence in producing top-grade hardware tools and technologies gained profound testimonies from worldwide industry players and trade buyers that participated at the Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) last 12th-14th October. Held in Taichung, Taiwan’s industrial hub for its renowned hardware and manufacturing industries, 382 companies comprising multinational industry powerhouses and Taiwan’s most competitive manufacturers and suppliers hosted visitors from around the globe sourcing for the newest innovations across the expanded 15,100 sqm show oor at the Greater Taichung International Expo Centre. With 70% of exhibiting companies returning after multiple participations and a marked 33% increase in the number of new principal brands and producers featured, THS’s success signied Taiwan’s immense attractiveness as a lucrative and conducive hardware market that bridges global players with its trusted capabilities and business network. Abundant opportunities await Taiwanese businesses abroad Sharing his optimism that Taiwan’s businesses will gain greater prominence in external markets, in Europe especially, Mr John Herbert, General Secretary, Europe DIY-Retail Association (EDRA), Germany shared that, “I am very impressed particularly by the quality that we nd in the exhibition. Today in Europe and other parts of the world, people are moving towards better quality products. Since Taiwan’s image regarding product quality has improved considerably, this means getting that message over there represents huge opportunities for Taiwan suppliers in the European market.” Mr Herbert’s encouraging words were echoed by fellow speakers in other concurrent seminars helmed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the Metal Industries Research and Development Centre as well as Mr Philippe Mechin, an industry specialist from BM2C Media whose presentation on ‘The Economic Situation, Trends and Customer Behaviour in the French Hardware Market’ highlighted the high demand of Taiwan’s manufactured products amongst French and European users. THS consistently fullled visitors’ expectations in presenting the best of high-quality products THS poised for bigger and better return in 2016 Presenting comprehensive product range serving end-to-end supply chain in 8 categories: Tools & Accessories, Locks & Fittings, Fasteners & Fittings, Building Supplies, Garden & Outdoor Equipment, Automotive Supplies & Accessories, Machines & Plant Equipment, and Safety Equipment & Products, THS provided trade buyers with a one-stop avenue to source for sough-after products. Over the three day exhibition, visitors were treated to live machine demonstrations, product presentations and engaged in exclusive business matching services that connected them to targeted suppliers and businesses. “I come to Taiwan Hardware Show every year because, compared to other fairs that I had visited, Taiwan products have really high quality. According to Mr Keim, “As the show was oversold this year, next year we will have an additional hall with more new and returning exhibitors as well as higher participation from international companies whom we will give signicant highlight in line with THS’ success in being a global platform to present world-class quality tools.” Reecting on the THS’ growth after his multiple visits, Mr Christoph Schobert, Head of Sourcing and Operations Asia, kwb Germany Gmb shared that, “I notice how this exhibition has evolved compared to previous years; it has gained another complete hall full of exhibitors and I am sure it will keep growing in the future.
