Trade Show LIGHT in Warsaw plays the most important role as a platform of exchanging ideas and business experiences in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Each year Trade Show LIGHT attracts leading producers, distributors and all the interested in lighting fittings and LED applications. 2011`s edition will gather 300 leading manufacturers from all over the world, who will present their latest products on the area of over 10 000 sq. m. Eight months before the opening several dozen companies have already confirmed their participation at LIGHT 2011. Why Poland? * Poland is the 6th largest economy in the EU and has the fastest growing economy in Central Europe with an annual growth rate * Poland is the only member of the EU to have avoided a decline in GDP, meaning that in 2009 Poland has created the most GDP growth in the EU. As of December 2009 the Polish economy had not entered recession nor even contracted, while European Commission sees Polish 2010 GDP growing 3.2%. * Polish economic expansion is also expected to accelerate over the next two years * Poland is becoming an European leader in terms of public infrastructural tenders value. Thanks to the EU access, the inflow of European funds and the investments connected with th EURO 2012 preparations, Poland is becoming a leading investor in road infrastructure, including the street lighting among the EU members. In 2010 Poland will assign to this purpose 3,7 - 4,7 bln Euro, according to Frost & Sullivan. This concerns constructing of hiways and local roads, as well as modernizing express roads and other public infrastructural projects attractive in terms of construction expenses. * Polish construction industry is booming due to the increasing of wealth of the population and innovative housing solutions according to the new EU standards. * Poland – the largest consumer market in terms of population among the 10 new EU member countries – is called the youngest market in the European Union and has a rapidly expanding commercial and warehouse space market.
