The ISO/TS 16949-certified Taizhou Hongli Automobile Parts Co. Ltd. is a joint venture established in 1999 by three major auto-parts suppliers, including Yuhuan Tianli Auto Parts Industry Co., Ltd. of China as well as Spring Come Industrial Co., Ltd. and Altezza Co. in Taiwan.

The company specializes in manufacturing constant velocity (CV) joints and drive shafts for popular American, Japanese, Korean, Chinese trucks, buses, and passenger cars.

The company claims that it adopts the most stringent production and inspection processes, including the CAD, CAM, CAXA techniques in synchronized design/manufacturing, as well as the ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, so as to achieve the best quality. Such efforts made Hongli chosen by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce as the "Base Enterprise of Auto Parts Exports" in 2006.

Hongli's quality products are well received in China and over 20 foreign regions and nations, including America, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

After gaining a solid foothold in the global aftermarket, Hongli has also successfully tapped the original equipment (OE) parts business as a first- or second-tier supplier to many automakers in China and other nations, including GM Wuling, Suzuki Changhe, Kia Motors, etc.

To more aggressively develop the OE business, the company in 2006 inaugurated a new, modern, and integrated plant near Shanghai, and currently the new facility operates under the name "ODM Auto Parts Co., Ltd."

The new plant is located in the Pinghu Economic Development Zone and installed with the most advanced equipment to focus on OEM auto-parts manufacturing. The plant kicked off mass production in June 2006 and now employs around 450 skilled workers.

Hongli's other facility is located in the Auto & Motor Industry Zone in Yuhuan County, Taizhou of Zhejiang Province. The plant now employs about 900 people.

The company has aimed to be the best manufacturer of CV joints and drive shafts in China with highest product quality and biggest production capacity. (QL)
