Chan Mao Technology was established in 2001, dedicated to development of production of auto and motorcycle electro-luminescent (EL) dashboards, EL tails, EL emblems, EL strips etc. The company's parent firm, Cochief Industrial Co., is an original equipment (OE) EL product supplier.

Chan Mao claims that it has been assisting customers worldwide to establish new brands and enhance product comprehensiveness, so as to help customers upgrade their competitiveness. In 2005, Chan Mao started development and manufacturing of LED-related products and applications, and has now successfully developed a wide range of OEM and ODM services in LED products, including LED strips, LED bulbs, LED tail printed circuit boards (PCBs), LED dome Lights, LED accessories etc. Since 2006, Chan Mao started research and development of electronic series in light of the growing concern about global energy crisis and global warming.

In 2008 the company planned to expand OEM and ODM services further to own brand marketing and sales. Currently, the company provides OEM services to clients in mainly Japan, Germany, the U.S., Indonesia, etc.
