Asmith Manufacturing Company, established in 1981 in Taichung City of central Taiwan, is a professional manufacturer of a wide variety of industrial hardware. The company has obtained the ISO9001 and RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) certificates.

After moving into a new factory in the Taichung Industrial Park in 1994, the company began rolling out industrial hardware, and has extended sales outlets from domestic market to the international marketplace.

At present, the company's major product lines can be divided into seven categories, including hinges, door latches, draw latches, leveling glides, handles and pulls, door/window regulators, and castors.

The company's major clients come from the U.S., United Kingdom, European Union, Canada, South Korea, South Africa, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Singapore and Japan. The firm currently supplies over two million hinges, door buckles and locks, latches, pull handles, leveling glides and fastener parts for cabinet/coffer boxes body industrial hardware to foreign customers per month.

Asmith notes it has close technical cooperation with the government-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) for developing innovative products. With an in-house research and development department, the company is capable of completing the development of an innovative item per month. (BS)
