The Zhejiang Zhongxing Shock Absorber Mfg. Co., Ltd. (ZX Shock), established in 1988, is a veteran specialist in the development and manufacturing of automotive shock absorbers. A possessor of ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification awarded by PQS Germany in 2007, the company has grown into one of the largest Chinese suppliers in its field.

ZX Shock supplies a wide range of shock absorber products including twin-tube shocks and struts, coil-over shocks, cartridges, cabin dampers, steering dampers, mono-tube shock absorbers, aluminum shock absorbers, and electro remote control adjustable shocks and struts. The 3,000 models that fill the company's thick catalogs cover almost the full range of Japanese and Korean car models as well as most popular European and American makes. On average, the firm develops about 320 new shock absorber models a year.

The company claims that it has developed some of the most advanced technologies in the industry and applied them to some of its innovative products, such as gas-charged, self-regulating absorbers and struts and remote-control adjustable shocks and struts. The company owns two patents for functionality.

In addition to being sold on the domestic Chinese market, ZX Shock's quality products are also shipped to customers in the major markets of South America, North America, Oceania, the Middle East, and Asia, as well as European countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Poland, Russia, and Belarus. About half of the company's total production is sold to automakers on an original equipment (OE) basis; it is now promoting its own brand, however, and expects it to become a world-class player in the near future.

Company officials stress that their stringent quality-control system requires every shock absorber they produce to be tested in-house by top-end, multi-speed hydraulic ergogram testers before being packaged and shipped. The firm also operates an advanced laboratory containing a large physical and chemical lab for a variety of inspection work as well as an R&D lab and engineering department, where product development and prototyping are carried out using inova gmbh automobile shock absorber test equipment imported from Germany.

All of the company's products are certified to the most stringent standards of various institutions, including the shock absorber inspection center of the China Automobile Quality Control & Inspection Institute, Provincial Technical Supervision & Inspection Academy, and the appraisal unit of the Shanghai Automobile Quality System.
