Thread rolling machines, dies

Having been in the machinery-making industry since 1972, Kim Union Industrial Co., Ltd. boasts it is the sole Taiwanese manufacturer focusing on production of both thread rolling machines and thread rolling dies.

In addition to the above-mentioned two major product lines, the company also provides thread dies, ring gauges, plug gauges, and screw taps. The firm maintains an in-house research and development unit, and can handle customers' orders on the OEM and ODM (original equipment/design manufacturer) basis. For self-designed thread rolling machines, the company uses ‘Unify' brand.

Kim Union president Yu Li-tung says his company has expertise in the production of high-end thread rolling machines and offers thread-rolling solutions to customers from around the world.

“With abundant development and manufacturing experience, we have developed a complete range of thread rolling machines for customers to choose from,” says Yu. “As our customers come from many different sectors, they can easily name the specific model that meets their production requirements.”

Kim Union's thread rolling machines include hydraulic thru feed thread rolling machines (UM-75, 50, 50A, 40,30, 16 & 3S), in-feed thread rolling machines (35, 20 & 3), three-die pipe thread rolling machines (UM-3DL, 3DX, 3D), and serration gear rolling machines (UM-35H).

Kim Union's thread rolling dies are made of high-quality specialty steel imported from Europe (1.2379) and Japan (SKD11). The thread rolling dies are heat-treated by TECHNO vacuum and oil furnace to assure high strength and friction resistance. Any specifications are welcomed.

The company employs some sophisticated thread grinding machines made by Reishauer Co. of Switzerland and Matrix of Britain to produce thread-rolling dies and serration spline rolling dies. Its thread rolling dies come in standard, knurling, and fastening-thread models.
