The 2010 show also included several educational and buyer-oriented activities as pre-show press conference, new product presentation, procurement conferences, technology forums and workshops. Such support activities reflected the organizers' aim to build upon Taiwan's position as the world's biggest LED supplier by volume , as well as the rising importance of LED lighting worldwide.

The organizers reported promising results from the 2010 TILS, where foreign buyers placed US$1.07 million of orders on-the-spot, with US$154 million of potential orders to be signed in the following six months, as well as US$206,500 of orders placed by local buyers on-the-spot and US$7.3 million in potential follow-up business.
