Taipei Songshan-Haneda Airport Maiden Flight to Take Off Oct. 31
2010/10/27 | By Judy LiTaipei, Oct. 27, 2010 (CENS)--The maiden flight between Taiwan's Taipei Songshan Airport and Japan's Haneda Airport will take off Oct. 31, which is very likely to become a major moneymaker in east Asia.
Taiwan's two major airlines—China Airlines and EVA Airways—and Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways each will fly twice daily between the two airports, totaling eight flights per day.
With both the airports in downtown and very convenient for passengers, the direct flights will certainly be welcome by businesspeople traveling between Taiwan and Japan.
China Airlines and EVA Airway both have decided to fly the maiden voyage with Airbus 330 and so far 70% of the tickets have been booked.
Insiders predict that the new route might raise passenger loading of the two Taiwanese airlines by 15%, and 10% in the incoming tourists from Japan.
