2011/01/10 | By Ken Liu | AEON LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY INC.

Aeon Lighting Technology Inc. (ALT), an LED-lighting maker held by sever player Supermicro Computer Inc., has been recently awarded with the LED Streetlight CNS Mark, making it Taiwan's first LED-streetlight manufacturer to pass inspections of the world's first industry standard dedicated to LED streetlights.

While celebrating its wining the certification, the company also in the fourth quarter 2010 rolled out latest versions of its LED lamps, including Orion-coded T8 light tubes, chandelier bulbs, SO2-coded streetlights, BR lamps, and GX5.3 MR16 lamps.

The company's T8 tubes come in two feet and four feet in terms of length and are rated at eight watts, 10 watts, 12 watts, 16 watts, 20 watts and 24 watts. A two-year warranty goes with them to shops for their average 50,000 hours of lifespan. Cree LED chips are built into the tubes.

Unique lens designs allow the company's chandelier bulbs to emit even, soft light at angles as wide as 180 and 270 degrees. Cree or Lumiled chips light up these three-watt lamps.

The firm's MR16 lamps are rated at one, three, five and seven watts, lit up by Cree or Luxeon chipsets. Unique technique keeps these lamps from flickering when dimming.

Ideal for display sites like museums and art galleries, its BR lamps are available in 10, 12, 15, 20, and 35 watts. Cree, Luxeon, or Bridgelux chips are built into these lamps.

Over the past three years or so, the company has won at least 100 patents and major certificates, including UL, CE, ETL, FCC, and TUV in addition to CNS.
