Taipei, April 6, 2011 (CENS)--As part of their efforts to enhance cross-strait trade, China's industry leaders and government officials will lead buy-Taiwan groups to Taiwan in the second June and July, according to Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the government-backed trade promoter.

C. K. Wang, chairman of TAITRA, disclosed that Bai Weimin, secretary general of the China Video Industry Association, is slated to take a buy-Taiwan trip in June, aiming to purchase flat panels here again. Bai is nicknamed as “flat panel procurement queen” since she placed big orders with Taiwanese panel manufacturers during her visit to Taiwan last year.

In the same month China's Vice Commerce Minister Jiang Yaoping is reportedly to lead a group to Taiwan to purchase ECFA (economic cooperation framework agreement) fast-track listed products here.

In addition, several China's provincial leaders will lead buy-Taiwan groups to Taiwan in July, including Wang Sanyun, governor of Anhui Province; Zhao Hongzhu, Zhejiang Provincial Party Secretary; and Ma Biao, governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Wang said the consumer market in China is growing very rapidly thanks to rapid economic growth there. He emphasized that it's time now for TAITRA to help Taiwanese enterprises build up brands and marketing channels in China.
