Sun Lung Gear Works Co., Ltd., established in 1960, is one of Taiwan's specialized manufacturers of wide-ranging precision gears and gearboxes for plastic extruders. With the efforts to develop innovative products, the company has won good reputations and awards at home and abroad, including the 2011 Taiwan Excellence Award.

To focus on the production of precision products, the company has adopted sophisticated production equipment from abroad, including advanced gear grinders, and computerized gear inspection instruments made by Japan, the U.S., Switzerland and Germany.

The ISO9002- and CE-certified firm is a member of the AGMA and the TAMI. In 1997 the company began technological cooperation with a Japanese company, enabling it to upgrade the quality of its products and making it one of the best performers in this field in terms of sales.

The company's SLE-series green purified gearbox, which is awarded Taiwan Excellence prize, has many advantages. With specific magnetic mechanism, the gearbox can clean the greasy chipping particles without having to stop production lines, allowing it to increase durability, reduce oil pollution, and save electricity energy.

Gears are made of SNCM220 nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steel and SCM415, normalized, machined, carburized and precision ground to meet DIN Grade 1-3. Embedded forced lubrication system, the SLE series ensures excellent heat dissipation, high energy efficiency and extended gears and bearings durability.

Sun Lung has significantly enhanced gearbox quality and capacity by purchasing the latest precision gear-grinders from Germany between 2008 and 2010. The company claims it has sold more than 10,000 gearboxes during the 2000-2010 period.

The company has installed seven precision gear-grinding machines for producing high-precision gear parts, and gearboxes for plastics processing machines. Its products are suitable for the machines used by the sectors of printing, plastic injection, extrusion, screw, shipyards, cement plants, paper mills, steel rolling, and machine tools, etc. (BS)
