Aurora's “Aegis” Chair Wins 20th Taiwan Excellence Award

Taipei, Jan. 6, 2012 (CENS)—Aurora Group, a leading Taiwanese office furniture manufacturer, recently developed a winner, a mesh-backed office chair featuring dual back frame to effectively support the user without excessive, unwanted flex. Dubbed “Aegis,” the chair was honored with the 20th Taiwan Excellence Award in 2011, which is presented annually by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to domestic manufacturers for product excellence.

Besides a breathable elastic mesh stretched over the dual back frame, the Aegis has a specially-developed weight sensor under the seat to enable four-step adjustment based on a user's weight, allowing the back to automatically tilt comfortably according to one's weight, a senior manager of the company explains. “The chair comes in different colors of mesh and various patterns on the armrest.” Such ergonomic features have attracted ample attention soon after its launch late last year.
