After years of effort, the company became ISO-9002 certified in 1995 for manufacturing and service quality, and ISO-14001 approved in 2001 for high standards of environmental management, which was renewed in 2011.
“Shen Pao developed Taiwan's first computer desk in 1983 and has since made other office furniture. To upgrade manufacturing processes and reduce dependence on manual labor, the company began to import advanced machine tools from Germany in the 1990s and has since rapidly automated operations,” says a senior manager.
To upgrade design and quality, Shen Pao has in recent years invested to realize traditional concepts with innovative thick hollow board and M.F.C. board that are versatile and able to be made into cabinets, desks, tables, chairs etc. Besides, the company applies 3D software to develop precision-sized products and seamless laminated surfaces.
Being eco-conscious, the company makes most products with odorless, low-formaldehyde and eco-friendly particle boards that come in different textures and colors. For instance, the maker recently developed a line of particle boards with wood-grain patterns designed mainly for OA furniture, whereby the simulated wood-grain creates softness, warmth of wood without further depleting forests.
Filling OEM and ODM orders as well as custom-making furniture, Shen Pao offers the whole package, including project planning, floor and elevation planning, 3D visualization technology, residential and commercial space design, product selection advice for homes and offices.
