LUXGEN's Smart Car Model Wins High Recognition in Int'l Automotive Photonics Exposition

The Taiwan-based Luxgen Motor Co., Ltd., a leading Taiwanese automaker, has brought Taiwanese smart car brand to the international highlight. Tsay Wen-Rong, general manager of Luxgen Motor and chairman of Taiwan Transportation Vehicle Manufactures Association (TVMA), was awarded by Taiwan former Vise President Wu Den-yih due to his active efforts of promoting photonics interdisciplinary collaboration.

At the International Automotive Photonics Exposition, held June 14-16, 2017 in Taipei, Tsay also presented Wu the state-of-the-art U6 TURBO ECO HYPER, which is equipped with 6 SRS airbags, coupled with 360 degrees vision system and 9-inch central screen that together make parking safer and easier. The other high-tech safety equipment like Think+ Touch Pro system, Active Eagle View, Side View and 3D X-View are also high-lightened at the exposition.

V7 TURBO ECO HYPER is the nation's first welcab of independent research and development. High roof with RV stream line and spacious interior space allows the disabled to share the backseats with more people so that the disabled would not have to sit alone; also, the family members and caretakers will be able to provide the care with more convenience. Besides, the equipped wheelchair ramp makes V7 more accessible to the disabled and senior citizens.

Wu gave high accolades to V7 for its exceptional features, including Think+ and high tech safety equipment. The car model's price without commodity tax starts at NT $1,049,000 (US $34,429). Through commodity tax and wheelchair accessible tax subsidy, the wheelchair accessible taxi only costs NT $739,000 (US $24,254).
