CENS.com Leads Taiwanese Exhibitors to Win the Best Biz Deals at AMF 2018

Sep 12, 2018 | By CENS

Frankfurt-The biennial Automechanika Frankfurt (AMF) show kicked off on Sept. 11 and will last for five days. Products on display are of the world's largest scale and quality, including automotive parts and components, repair and maintenance, tools, automotive electronics and systems, IT products and services. In celebration of the show's 25th anniversary, AMF expanded its services by adding 12 halls, including the first concurrently-held REIFEN show, where tires, electric vehicle tires and other equipment are showcased. At Hall 12.1, vintage and classic cars are on show and 15 seminar talks will be hosted, including topics on repairing, painting processes and diagnosis.

Automotive parts and components are Taiwan's strong points in terms of export strength. In hopes of developing and connecting with high-end clients from Europe and the U.S., the best of Taiwan is exhibiting at the show, including E-Lead Electronic Co., Ltd., Depo Trading Ind. Co., Ltd., Cub Elecparts Inc., Honiton Industries Inc. , Daiken Tools Enterprise Co., Ltd. ,totaling at 471 companies exhibiting. The huge delegation of Taiwanese exhibitors are mainly showcasing at Hall 4.2, while hand tool exhibitors are stationed in Hall 10.1

Heavyweight Taiwanese auto parts firm Tong Yang Group Director Lin Chung-Chih said even though global exchange rates sustained large fluctuations this year, however, since the 2008 financial crisis, consumers who are replacing vehicles more often are looking to conservative, alternatives to replace parts due to lower wages. This has helped buoy Taiwan's AM exports, Lin said.

Taipei Representative Office in Frankfurt has even scheduled a “Hessen-Taiwan Economic Day” on Sept. 14 as a peripheral event. Local enterprises are invited to introduce the German automotive industry clusters, offer business advice for those looking to enter the German market and information on Industry 4.0 and the status of digitization in the industry. Taipei Representative Office in Frankfurt Economic Department Director Huang Ching-Yun pointed out that automotive vehicles are among Germany's main export products and has seen a significant increase year by year. With anti-dumping measures enforced by the European Union and the U.S. against China, such circumstances are all favorable for Taiwan's auto parts exports.

Considering the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that took effect this May, Economic Daily News (China Economic News Service, CENS) has invited experts and scholars familiar with the new law for discussion over renewing its business sourcing platform in accordance to GDPR practices. In practice, buyers have consented on-site at AMF 2018, signing an agreement to provide data regarding their personal information. As buyers have given their lawful consent, clients working with CENS will be able to legally obtain and peruse the data collected.

Economic Daily News (CENS) booth is located in Hall 4.2 at Booth No. P73 to help service on-site buyers to understand more about Taiwanese exhibitors, as well serving as the prime location to receive handouts of guidebooks and magazines such as Taiwan Transportation Equipment Guide (TTG), TTG USB for the digital edition and Taiwan Hand Tools. Buyers on-site will be able to obtain the newest reports through the guidebooks and search for suitable Taiwanese suppliers to work with.
