2018/10/30 | By CENS

Southern Taiwan Auto-Parts Research & Strategy Alliance is leading a delegation to attend the AAPEX 2018 - Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo- in the U.S. The delegation include nine enterprises recommended by the Tainan City Government, namely Eagle Eyes Traffic Industrial Co., Ltd. (No.8225), Zenith Troop Industrial Co., Ltd. (No.8003), Well-Tech Electric Co., Ltd. (No.8001), Modern Auto Products Corp. (No.8322), Ing Tien Enterprise Co., Ltd. (No.7251), Juin Daw Enterprise Co., Ltd. (No.8212), Excellent Cable Co., Ltd. (No.8002), Koa Asia Enterprise (No.8307) and Fortuna Auto Industry Inc. (No.8324).

Taiwan auto parts makers have long maintained high-quality parts design and production capabilities. Having shipped their products to Europe and the U.S. for many years, the makers have already set up a well-oiled factory management system, allowing them to carry out flexible production without sacrificing quality. Also, Taiwan's consistent automobile production quality has been well recognized in global markets, helping to drive up Taiwan exports year by year. In recent years, Taiwan's auto parts makers have also well leveraged the robust technological prowess and production advantages of the island's ICT industry to quickly develop quality automotive electronics.

Taiwan's auto parts exports are largely composed of headlights, automotive sheets, tires, mirrors, wheel rims and other motorcycle parts and accessories, with the top-five export outlets--the U.S., Japan, China, the U.K. and Australia--absorbing approximately 60% of the island's total exports. Shipments to the US alone command the highest portion of over 40%.

There are many advantageous factors bolstering the development of Taiwan's auto parts industry, including the congregation of industry clusters, the relocation of global auto parts procurement hub to Asia, and the availability and support of comprehensive electronics parts supply chains on the island. The alliance welcomes international buyers to visit Tainan City in southern Taiwan to make procurements and set up factories. For more information, please access: www.starsa.org.tw
