The new product development of IKKA-KY, a subsidiary of Abico Group, is reported to be focusing on electric vehicles. The company is currently developing the cooling system modules and will introduce the electrified systems into mid-level new car models, and it is expected to return to an optimistic growth track next year.

The latest news came from IKKA-KY's corporate briefing at the Taiwan Stock Exchange held Thursday afternoon. IKKA-KY pointed out that as the shortage of materials the Japanese brand Toyota (Toyota) had been experiencing since the COVID-19 pandemic began, has eased and production capacity has gradually recovered: IKKA-KY's monthly revenue has also increased from this September's NTD$260 million to NTD$280 million in October, and now to NTD$302 million in November.

IKKA-KY pointed out that under the trend of automotive electrification, the company is currently following Toyota's footsteps and developing in the field of next-generation auto parts. The mainstream product electronic handbrake system (EPB) will be introduced next year with the introduction of automated production equipment, resulting in production efficiency and cost.

Regarding the layout of electric vehicles, IKKA-KY stated that the cooling system modules for electric vehicles are being developed, and emphasized the development of all new products in the future will be centered on electric vehicles.

Looking forward to next year, IKKA-KY pointed out that as the production capacity of Japanese automakers returns to normal, and the price of automobiles has risen due to the lack of materials, the company believes the industry as a whole is "seeing the light at the end of the tunnel." It is expected that the company will return to an optimistic growth track next year.
