Aftermarket car modifications can vastly improve interior features, making it more comfortable and convenient for the passengers. In recent years, the demand for better quality customization, features, and materials have increased. With Mastar's over two-decades experience in car modification products, the company is uniquely positioned to deliver on fulfilling car owners' demands and improving customization technologies. Mastar is also one of the top leather seat covering manufacturers in Taiwan.

General Manager Wang Mu-chi said that in the past, customized parts in other countries were often made from wood materials, making these parts vulnerable to dampness, fire, and prone to vibrations. To re solve these issues, Mastar's products use PU low-pressure injection molding material, and using wood grain finish and paint for surface treatment. PU materials also lack the plastic odors that FRP materials often car. The PU material choice solves the issues with wood materials, and also helps the company exert more control over production costs and quality. The vehicle floor uses non-flammable and water-resistant plastic-steel plates to create enough support, while offering sound-proofing features.

Wang said with the M.Benz V-class top-class van as an example, which can see modifications to the seats and accessories that can be controlled by the computer for adjustment or storage. Wang said as the existing integration of the systems are already quite mature, making the completed customized interior vastly different than the original factory specifications. The company can offer the assembly of adjustable electric seats according to client specifications, or assemble interior sides with wood grain decorative plates. Near the back, Wang says they can also put up a barrier between the passenger side and trunk, while adding an electric adjustable TV screen and adjustable electric curtain. Individual secretarial electric seats and a cabinet for alcohol is also available, which are controlled by a small screen for storage.

Mastar offers different adjustable lighting, for reading and atmospheric style for high-end experience, also controlled through touch screens offering adjustable brightness and moods. Other mods to high-end business vans include improved circulation and seats with massage features, and collapsible desks that can be tucked away beside the seats. Under the main seats, customers can add two electric drawers, controlled by the touch screen, for storing small-sized items. In the back trunk, there is enough space for multiple golf equipment or larger suitcase pieces.

In all, Mastar's luxury van modifications cover five areas: power management, lighting, entertainment media, seating, and electric control. These features are accessible through the dual screens between the main two seats, and for convenience, tactile switches and buttons are still available.

In the past, Wang says the traditional focus of mods were only on seating, however, after communicating with many international buyers, they have since discovered that customer needs have evolved. Due to Mastar's experience in the seat modding area, many domestic and European automotive seating brands have sought for the company's designing prowess, which has considered ergonomics, structural safety, comfortability, foam support, and aesthetic appearance. As a result, Mastar eventually branched out to cover services for all sorts of vehicle modifications.

Wang said many of the existing modification designs had originated from China, where the market there focused on specialized and high-class tastes without consideration for prices. Thanks to concentration of manufacturing in China, Wang directed resources to set up a production chain in Tianjing, the Chinese hub of automobiles. There, Wang said the production base covers most of the design and materials for manufacturing interior mods. The most important parts in modding are applying paint film and processing, which are completed in factories based in Taiwan.

Wang has observed that customer demands similar to the Chinese market has gradually made its way into Southeast Asian nations, prompting increased recognition of such manufacturing and designing expertise. Many suppliers in those countries have reached out to Mastar as a result.

Mastar has released its modding specifications for M.Benz V-Class, and is slated to direct resources to high-end luxury MPV models like VW T6 and Toyota Alphard, including entire vehicle modification services.
