2025 Taiwan Innovation Expo Opens: 14 Spotlight SMEs Showcase the Future of Industry
2025/10/17 | By CENSThe 2025 Taiwan Innovation Expo (TIE) officially opened at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 on October 16. The Innovation Economy Pavilion, themed “AI Cross-Domain Innovation: Intelligence Driving the Future,” focuses on five major sectors: semiconductors, next-generation communications, precision health, smart machinery, and energy transition.
Fourteen outstanding SMEs from sectors spanning cybersecurity, manufacturing, healthcare, and materials demonstrated their technological capabilities by transforming AI and sustainability technologies into blueprints for a new innovation economy—collectively presenting the bright future of Taiwan’s industries.
AI Transforming Every Industry
AI is reshaping industrial structures. New Partner Technology showcased its pioneering N-Cloud core technology, building an integrated smart cybersecurity platform that combines NOC and SOC functions. It enables SMEs to achieve 24/7 network monitoring and protection with limited resources, cutting incident response time from hours to minutes and reducing potential losses from cyberattacks.
Atmospheric Plasma combines automation and visual recognition systems to redefine surface treatment in footwear manufacturing. Its self-developed Air Aurora/3D Air Plasma equipment replaces traditional sole roughening and chemical bonding processes, reducing VOC emissions while improving efficiency and yield. The technology is also applicable in medical devices and semiconductor processing.
Addressing the challenges of data fragmentation and slow workflows, Future Nest Technology launched the GeniAltX Enterprise AI Platform, which integrates a knowledge graph and a no-code AI workshop to create a full pathway from data extraction to AI application—empowering enterprises with generative AI assistants for intelligent analytics.
City Intelligence Technology, based on its proprietary AI model, enables facial recognition at CPU speed—comparing tens of thousands of faces in one second without GPU servers or pre-stored photo data. It has successfully expanded to ten overseas markets.
In smart agriculture, Smart Food offers modular IoT sensing and control systems that farmers can easily deploy to implement intelligent environmental control and remote monitoring, helping them adapt to high temperatures and typhoons.
Barking Dog presented its cross-platform AI agent AI AMAZE, a one-stop generative AI interactive solution integrating customer service, navigation, education, and marketing. Through real-time natural language communication, it helps enterprises create branded virtual assistants, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
Driving Smart Manufacturing and Precision Medicine
In smart machinery, Cailiang Technology applies solid-state LiDAR to unmanned vehicles for real-time environmental sensing in complex outdoor conditions. It supports autonomous obstacle avoidance, logistics navigation, and smart transportation. Partnering with global manufacturers, the company has introduced MIT drones into agricultural and defense applications.
Kofly Digital developed an open controller and smart electronic control development platform that allows automakers to complete compliant ECUs with fewer resources and in shorter timeframes. The technology is already used in over 70% of Taiwan’s electric buses and is expanding into Japan and Southeast Asia, driving sustainable mobility.
In precision health, BioRui Medical developed the AIXA AI-assisted Osteoporosis and Sarcopenia Screening System, which completes analysis in six seconds with accuracy comparable to hospital-grade DXA scans—offering efficient and cost-effective clinical applications.
Shenrui AI introduced an AI-based screening platform with a 4D cognitive prediction module capable of detecting lung nodules, coronary calcification, and osteoporosis risks from a single LDCT scan, while MRI calculations assess brain age and cognitive decline risk. The system accelerates early diagnosis and supports digital transformation in healthcare.
Semiconductor Innovation and Energy Transition
In semiconductor applications, Fuzhi Technology specializes in composite recoverable protection technology. It pioneered the integration of overcurrent and overvoltage protection in a single component, improving circuit reliability for EVs, smart manufacturing, and green energy systems, providing a complete circuit protection solution.
In energy transition, Xiongcai Dazhi converts waste textiles into “Yixianmu” high-strength fiberboards through innovative recycling processes. These boards can be reused multiple times, exceeding national standards while being energy-saving and flame-retardant.
Fengpei Environmental Technology unveiled a chip-based real-time metal ion sensing system requiring no chemical reagents and only minimal samples. It can detect **eight heavy metals—including copper, chromium, arsenic, zinc, and lead—**offering a simple, paper-strip-like monitoring tool for instant and accessible analysis.
Youzhilong Enterprise developed sustainable yarns and fabrics using pineapple leaf fibers, turning agricultural waste into eco-friendly textiles and introducing new green thinking to Taiwan’s fashion industry.
Expanding International Collaboration
The international section welcomed participation from Japanese companies this year. SoftBank Group showcased the 1NCE Global IoT SIM Card and Buddycom real-time communication platform, promoting cross-border IoT connectivity.
