Taiwan's Automation and Smart Manufacturing Showcase Global Competitiveness at Taichung Industrial Expo
2025/07/07 | By CENSThe 2025 Taichung Automation Machinery Show and Taichung Plastics & Rubber Industry Show are being held concurrently at the Taichung International Exhibition Center, bringing together 250 exhibitors across nearly 600 booths. As the most significant industrial event in central Taiwan, the dual show highlights the region’s strength and international competitiveness in machinery and plastics through themes of smart machinery, digital transformation, sustainable energy, and low-carbon technologies. The event responds to Taiwan’s policies on smart manufacturing and net-zero carbon emissions, positioning itself as a premier platform for industrial innovation.
On the show floor, leading companies are unveiling their latest technologies and solutions, demonstrating the sector’s dynamic transformation. YILI Photonics showcases its advanced fiber laser engraving machines, which feature high photoelectric conversion efficiency, low energy consumption, and cutting-edge 2.5D and 3D focus adjustment with color engraving capabilities. The technology has drawn significant interest from buyers in metal processing, electronics, and precision manufacturing sectors. Meanwhile, Ju Ren Enterprise, in collaboration with Japan’s KITZ Group and APOSA, presents high-end valves, sterilization water treatment systems, and limit switches tailored for semiconductor and high-tech industries, reinforcing Taiwan’s competitiveness in precision manufacturing and automated production lines.
AnTai Smart focuses on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturers, launching its standardized MES solutions that address key challenges: limited budgets, complex implementation, and cybersecurity risks. The system integrates modules for ERP work order connection, digital scheduling, tool management, and carbon footprint monitoring, helping manufacturers achieve cost-effective smart manufacturing while advancing sustainability goals. Taiwan Chelic Measurement & Control introduces multi-axis force sensors and micro torque sensors designed for humanoid robots, collaborative robotic arms, and precision assembly equipment. These solutions enhance the safety and performance of human-machine collaboration and support emerging applications in smart healthcare, logistics automation, and beyond.
According to Jason Chou, Vice President of Economic Daily News, the Taichung dual exhibition centers on smart manufacturing and sustainable technologies, bringing together suppliers and buyers across the industrial supply chain and creating a valuable platform for business networking. Lee Yi-An, Deputy Director General of Taichung City’s Economic Development Bureau, noted that despite challenges such as currency fluctuations, reciprocal tariffs imposed by the U.S., and price competition from China, exhibitors continue to present innovative products and key components, aiming to drive industry upgrading through the expo platform.
This year's show not only demonstrates Taiwan’s commitment to smart, digital, and sustainable industrial development but also serves as an ideal venue for domestic and international buyers to explore cutting-edge technologies, establish partnerships, and source solutions. The event is expected to foster new international collaborations and business opportunities, propelling Taiwan’s industries into a smart, low-carbon future.
