Edge AI Innovations Unveiled at COMPUTEX 2025 to Empower Smart Mobility and Industrial Automation

2025/05/09 | By

COMPUTEX 2025, themed “AI Next,” will spotlight the evolution of artificial intelligence from cloud-centric systems to distributed edge intelligence. Held from May 20 to 23 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, the event will feature a keynote speech by Jens Hinrichsen, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Analog and Automotive Embedded Systems business line at NXP Semiconductors. His presentation, titled “Edge Intelligence: Enabling Autonomous Futures,” will explore how edge AI can help systems operate reliably in unpredictable real-world environments.

During the exhibition, NXP will host an interactive innovation showcase at its Taipei office, presenting its latest smart solutions across automotive, industrial, and IoT sectors. The company, along with global partners, will also exhibit a range of real-world applications at the main COMPUTEX venue, offering hands-on demonstrations of intelligent technologies designed with NXP platforms.

The Taipei showcase will focus on three key themes:

1. Smarter Homes for a Sustainable Future

Demonstrations will highlight interoperable and secure autonomous home solutions, featuring technologies such as MATTER and ultra-wideband (UWB). Visitors can also explore AI-powered consumer applications enabled by the latest NXP microcontrollers, such as facial tracking using MCX N series and audio processing for smart glasses powered by the i.MX RT600.

2.Driving Smart Industry Toward Edge Intelligence

The exhibition will showcase advanced automation and smart ecosystem solutions, including industrial automation systems powered by i.MX 8 and 9 series application processors, time series-based machine learning models developed using eIQ AI and machine learning software, and board-level solutions co-developed with embedded system partners. These technologies work together to provide more efficient, energy-saving, and sustainable smart operations for factories and buildings.

3.Software-Defined Automotive Solutions

The third theme centers on scalable and flexible automotive platforms. Exhibits will include AI-driven eCockpits, connected two-wheeler digital dashboards, high-performance multi-purpose platforms for ultra-wideband, in-vehicle networking systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and more—all paving the way for safer and more intelligent journeys.

By integrating AI, edge computing, and software-defined architectures, these innovations represent the next frontier in connected, sustainable, and autonomous technologies for global industries.
